Annual price includes hardware and features but excludes SLA “client-side support”. We operate a ticket support system which may incur charges for ad-hoc intervention. We encourage optional support for DNS management and ongoing support/training if you do not have in-house expertise. See our web hosting product page for options.

In line with industry practice, be aware that backups remain your responsibility. While we execute periodic backups for our own maintenace purposes, we do not guarantee efficacy and charges may apply for data restoration. Please consult your web designer or ask us about cPanel’s onboard backup utilities.

We can deploy your presence in any of about 50 countries to place you near your markets. In the UK, we operate equipment in London.

No matter how well designed your web pages are, getting your pages to and end user depends on the quality of the cabling that delivers them. In the UK we locate services in a London datacenter capable of delivering content to the national backbone at 10Gbps. Depending on the quality of an end user’s broadband service, it takes 5-8 “hops” to route pages to web site visitors. This matters where search engine optimization is critical.

Web server hardware support – server-side

Our basic web hosting price is for the cost of:

• your web server’s hardware
• the space your server takes in a datacenter
• maintenance of your operating systems and it’s periodic updates

DNS – domain name management

Your domain name plays an important part in connecting people to your web site and email. Unless we manage your domain name within our services, domain name management is not included in our web server hardware cost.

For instance, you might own domain names at registrars like GoDaddy or Tucows. In this kind of situation, we do not have direct access to your domain name. This means we cannot manage your domain name periodically, and we cannot deal with your domain name until we can reach you first. To streamline services, we can take domain names into our administrative custody while the domain name continues to be owned by you. Contact us to find out more.

Support – retained help

When you buy your hosting space, you can opt for our minimum support. This is an anticipated cost designed to cover incidental queries and interventions that you and/or your contrsactors request during your hosting period. This might include help to configure DNS to resolve contact forms, email servers, custom SSL certificates, or web site data backups.

Occasionally, customers have in-house IT skills for Linux servers DNS, and networking, and they only need server space. Also, your web designer or your own staff can manage DNS issues. Therefore, we will invite support so that you can avoid duplicated costs.

Support – self-serve

We provide a library of “self-serve” documentation covering email, DNS, etc. tailored to help you and your IT managers configure services  However, If you do not have expert in-house server knowledge, we recommend that you opt for our affordable support.

If you do not make for provision for support, we will continue to manage “server-side”, but we will charge for our time for “client-side” support which you request at our standard hourly rates.
